Khichu Recipe: A Delicious and Easy Gujarati Snack

Khichu is a savory and satisfying Gujarati snack made with rice flour, water, and spices. 

Ingredients: – 1 cup rice flour – 2 cups water – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/4 teaspoon cumin seed – 1/4 teaspoon ajwain seed – 1 green chili, finely chopped – 1/4 teaspoon baking soda – Oil for greasing

Instructions: 1. In a large pot, combine the water, salt, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, and green chili. Bring to a boil.

Instructions: 2. Slowly add the rice flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, add the baking soda and stir well. 

Instructions: 3. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the khichu is thick and cooked through. 

Instructions: 4. Grease a plate with oil and spread the khichu evenly, Let the khichu cool slightly and cut into squares or diamonds. 

Tips: – You can add other spices to the khichu, such as turmeric powder, coriander powder, or red chili powder.
